I absolutely love this dressing because it's oil/sugar/gluten/nut/dairy free! I can pour it on my salads and make eating greens a breeze without worrying about feeling weighed down or losing the crisp freshness of the plant goodness in my salad. Tahini is a pantry staple of mine because sesame seeds are rich in calcium which make it a great plant based way to get that wonderful bone strengthening mineral. It is also a great way to get that luxurious creaminess in dressings or dips without adding cheese, milk, or cream. Suja Lemon Love is the PERFECT ingredient to complement the tahini base because it has a water base to thin it out and make it a pourable consistency. But the real bonus is that it's ultra convenient because it already contains a delicious mixture of lemon, cayenne, and stevia. In dressings, you want an acid, which the lemon brings, a spice, which the cayenne brings, and a sweetness, which the stevia brings - with no added sugar to boot! So, instead of a chemical laden powdered salad dressing mix, you can grab a Lemon Love and you're all set.
Ingredients
- ¼ -1/2 cup Suja Organic Lemon Love (I like ¼ cup for a thicker, creamier dressing, but if you want a more light, liquid dressing, keep adding up to ½ cup until you reach your desired consistency)
- ½ cup tahini (sesame seed butter)
- 1 tablespoon tamari
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon sea salt
- Place all ingredients in a high speed blender and blend until smooth
