What is the sediment at the bottom of the bottle? It looks like mold

It is perfectly normal to see sediment! This is natural and occurs when we cold-press the ingredients. You may notice a white substance (ginger) and sometimes you will also see dark specks which is the settling of the powders or spices. This may show up in many of our flavors that contain these ingredients. Sediment can get a bit clumpy and stick to the bottle so you may have to shake vigorously to mix it up.

Are Suja products pasteurized?

Our method of ensuring that our products are safe from bacteria is called Cold Pressure, also known as High Pressure Processing (HPP). This process retains food quality, maintains natural freshness and extends shelf life without heating to high temperatures. After our juice is bottled, a high level of cold pressure is applied to destroy potentially harmful pathogens, ensuring the juice is safe to drink while preserving vitamins, minerals and nutrients.

Can Suja's packaging materials be recycled?

All of our packaging materials are curbside recyclable. Exterior packaging is made out of craft paper and is fully curbside recyclable. The gel packs can be frozen and reused. Should you wish to dispose of them, they are non-toxic and environmentally friendly. The contents can be discarded down the drain. The plastic exterior can be recycled. Our sustainable cold chain packaging not only ensures we can deliver fresh stuff fast, but also keeps waste out of landfills. We are proud to make use of this eco-friendly material in our sustainable food packaging because of the many benefits it provides for our customers as well as the environment. Our #1 PET plastic bottles are also recyclable.

Do you offer wholesale?

Thank you for your interest in Suja Organic! Unfortunately, we do not offer a wholesale program however, we are currently available via several refrigerated distributors. If you’re working with a distributor, please check to see if they are stocking Suja products. You may also submit a request using the drop down "selling/carrying products at my location"  and someone from our sales team will be in touch.

Is Suja Organic and Non-GMO?

Yes! Our complete line of cold-pressured beverages are USDA certified Organic. All of our products are also certified Non-GMO by the Non-GMO Project.

Why do you use plastic bottles?

At Suja, we are committed to delivering products that maintain the highest quality and nutritional value. One key aspect of our production process is High-Pressure Processing (HPP), a method that utilizes high pressure instead of heat to preserve essential vitamins and nutrients.  After careful consideration of various packaging materials, we concluded that plastic is one of the few materials durable enough to withstand the rigorous demands of HPP. The structural integrity of plastic containers ensures that our products maintain their safety, freshness, and nutritional benefits throughout their shelf life.  We want to assure you that our PET 1 plastic containers are recyclable and 100% BPA free.

Where do you source your produce?

The fruits and veggies we blend into liquid sunshine come straight from our backyard in southern California, which allows us to be farm to bottle in around a week!

What is Cold Pressure?

Cold Pressure or High Pressure Processing is a method of preserving packaged food products using extremely high pressure instead of high heat. Hydraulic fluid (normally water) is placed in a chamber and pressurized with a pump. This pressure is transmitted through the package into the product itself. This process extends the shelf life without the use of preservatives and helps to maintain the nutrients in our organic cold-pressed juices and functional beverages. Product Questions

What is the shelf life?

The shelf life for our juices and shots is approximately 30-90 days depending on the product. The cold pressure process we use, High Pressure Processing (HPP) retains food quality, maintains natural freshness and extends shelf life without heating to high temperatures.  You may go off the best by date if the juice is unopened and refrigerated. Once opened, you can store it in the fridge for up to 5 days for optimal freshness and quality.

 

When you order directly from us, we guarantee our products will arrive with at least 30 days before their best by date however, we always try to send the furthest date possible.

 

Our Organic Greens Powders have a 2-year shelf life and shelf stable!

Where can I view the nutrition facts?

All the nutrition facts we test for are located on the bottles/packaging. You can also view the ingredients and nutrition facts forall productson their respective description pages. Please feel free to contact us if you do not see a particular product, and we would be happy to provide more information.

Do Suja products contain caffeine?

The majority of our products do not contain caffeine. We use herbal tea leaves such as peppermint and/or spearmint in our juices like Mighty Dozen and Uber Greens.

However, a few of our energy/focus juices contain caffeine from natural energy sources such as green tea, matcha, coffee berry, and green coffee bean extract. We list all ingredients on the bottle/nutrition facts label. You can also view the ingredients and nutrition facts for all products on their respective description pages. Please feel free to contact us if there's a particular product you're inquiring about, and we would be happy to provide more details.  

Do Suja beverages contain fiber?

Cold-pressed juices by nature will have little to no fiber. We grind the produce and it is then hydraulically pressed to yield the most amount of juice. The byproduct is a very fine pulp which is where the fiber content is found. While fiber is great for regulating and cleaning out your digestive tract, there is a significant energy expenditure that your body undergoes when it must separate juice from fiber. By drinking cold-pressured juices, your digestive tract gets a break.

How many shots can I take per day?

We recommend a single shot for daily wellness and up to three when you are looking for a bit more. You can drink them any time, before or after meals. We recommend listening to your body to find out what works for you. 

How much of each ingredient is in the product?

We are unable to disclose the amounts or percentages of the ingredients in our products as this is proprietary information. However, all the ingredients are listed in descending order of predominance on the bottle labels.

Can I freeze Suja products to drink later?

We recommend keeping our products refrigerated and consuming them fresh; freezing could potentially change their consistency, flavor, & nutrient density. If your are traveling, consider using a small cooler bag or ice packs to keep them nice and cold! However, if you choose to freeze your Suja product, please consider the following: We fill our bottles to the brim so be aware that expansion may occur when freezing. We recommend putting the juice in a larger container to accommodate this. We suggest thawing the juice in the refrigerator when you’re ready and consuming them within a week for the best quality.

 

Please note, freezing our products will not extend the shelf life for use past the 'best by' date. You can always conveniently order online for a recurring delivery to your home! All packages are shipped in 2 days or less should you need more immediate delivery.

I'm pregnant, can I drink Suja juices?

Congratulations! Suja products contain organic, plant-powered, non-GMO ingredients. Furthermore, the cold pressure process we use (HPP) eliminates bacteria and potentially harmful pathogens ensuring our products are safe to drink while preserving vitamins and nutrients. We know many pregnant women who enjoy Suja, however we always recommend consulting your doctor if you are pregnant/nursing to be sure the ingredients are safe for your individual health along your journey.

Are Suja products vegan?

Most Suja products are vegan with the exception of the flavors that contain honey. This will always be clearly listed on the label's ingredients list. 

Do you manufacture products with any known allergens?

We manufacture products that contain the allergens coconut and almonds. At this time there are no other FDA defined allergens in our facility. While the same equipment is used to manufacture allergen and non-allergen items, we have very strict allergen and sanitation procedures in place to prevent cross-contact and cross-contamination with undeclared allergenic ingredients.

​Is the Organic Greens Powder third-party tested?

Our Organic Greens Powder goes through strict 3rd party testing as we prioritize the safety and quality of our products. Our comprehensive testing regimen covers the product's materials for identity, composition, purity, and potency. As part of this routine, we specifically include testing for heavy metals. Rest assured, only materials that successfully pass this rigorous testing process are deemed suitable for use in our production. 

​Is Suja’s Organic Greens Powder safe for children?​​

Suja's Organic Greens Powder was formulated with adults in mind (ages 18+). We recommend consulting with their primary doctor before drinking our Organic Greens Powder.

How long does Suja’s Organic Greens Powder stay fresh?

Suja’s Organic Greens Powder lasts for a year and a half after production. Please check the best by date on the product packaging. We recommend refrigerating after opening to keep the blend as fresh as possible.​ 

What kind of probiotics do you use? How many colony-forming-units (CFU’s) are in Suja’s products?

We use vegan probiotics to help you maintain a healthy digestive and immune system. Suja products contain 1 Billion CFU's of Bacillus Coagulans. 

​Is Suja’s Organic Greens Powder safe to consume while pregnant or breastfeeding?​​​

Using Suja’s Organic Greens Powder while pregnant or breastfeeding is a personal choice, but as with any dietary supplement, consult your healthcare practitioner before using this product, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, anticipate surgery, take medication on a regular basis or are otherwise under medical supervision.​​

How many servings of vegetables are in Suja’s Organic Greens Powder?

Per FDA guidelines, Suja’s Organic Greens Powder contains 1 serving of vegetables per 12g scoop. This includes the equivalent of 14 kale leaves, 4 spinach leaves and 1 broccoli floret.​

Does the Organic Greens Powder contain caffeine?

Our Organic Greens Powder contains trace amounts of caffeine from the green coffee extract we use in the blend, but the amount is negligible. This blend aims to energize your body with the use of b-vitamins, green coffee extract, and prebiotics. 

Why does the Organic Greens Powder have a Prop 65 warning?

This warning label is required by California Law for all products and produce made within the state. California has the strictest heavy metal testing in the world. Even some of the produce (i.e., spinach) at local grocery stores must bear the Prop 65 warning. This warning lets consumers know a product comes from the ground and that soil may contain traces of chemicals or heavy metals. Suja Organic Greens goes through strict 3rd party testing, is certified USDA Organic & Non-GMO Project Verified to ensure we are delivering the highest quality & safest products to our consumers.

How do I use the Detox Juice Cleanse Program?

We created our Detox Juice Cleanse Program with cleansing juices, nourishing meals and a mindfulness guide. While this plan was designed for 6 days, it was built in a way where you can turn it into a lifestyle and continue to practice some of these daily routines all year round. Plan your schedule and aim to be home for your 6-day Cleanse.

Prepare ahead:

1) Review recipes in User Guide and plan out your 6-days of meals.
2) Make sure to stock your kitchen with ingredients needed for recipes.
3) Review the daily mindset activities to make sure they align with your schedule.
4) Get excited to feel rejuvenated and inspired!

Can I take my medicine/supplements during the cleanse?

You can definitely continue taking your medications, vitamins and supplements per usual. However, if you normally take them with food then we suggest taking them with the optional overnight oats or snack options that are provided in the cleanse user guide. We always recommend consulting your healthcare provider before starting a cleanse if you have a medical condition or take any medications to ensure safety.

Who should not cleanse?

Our cleanse is not recommended for children, or pregnant/nursing women. We always recommend consulting your healthcare provider before starting a cleanse if you have a medical condition or take any medications.

Can I cleanse if I'm pregnant or nursing?

Our cleanse is not recommended for those who are pregnant or nursing as your body needs extra calories and nutrients during this time. 

Can I drink coffee or tea during the cleanse?

While we recommend consuming exclusively Suja juices and water during your cleanse, we understand that can be challenging. The best option is to consume decaf however, if you are a regular coffee or tea drinker, we recommend one cup of black coffee or tea to avoid caffeine withdrawal during the program. 

Will I lose weight on the cleanse?

Our cleanse is not intended to be a weight loss program. It is meant to be used when you need a full reset and a great tool to kickstart your wellness journey.

Will I experience side effects while cleansing?

Everyone's body is different so reactions will vary from one person to the next. However, it's not uncommon to experience side effects. The increased hydration on this plan in conjunction with the removal of processed foods may result in digestion changes. Some people may also experience changes in their energy and mood as their body adjusts to the cleanse. We recommend preparing properly to make the transition easier and timing your cleanse for when you're home. We also suggest you stay hydrated with water throughout your cleanse.

Can I substitute/swap a flavor in the cleanse?

Unfortunately, we are unable to substitute flavors. Our cleanse has been specifically assembled based on nutritional value and operational requirements.

When should I do the 3-Day Cleanse?

Be thoughtful about your start date, selecting one away from things like celebratory meals or travel, in order to have the best chance at a successful outcome.

How do I use the 3-Day Cleanse?

Shortly before starting your 3-Day Cleanse cleanse, we recommend eliminating caffeine, dairy, alcohol, red meats and sweets and increasing your intake of fruit, veggies and whole grains, making your transition into your 3-day juice cleanse program much easier! Don't forget to prepare the night before you start! Set out your water bottle and prepare the optional overnight oats (if you choose to include) for the morning.

 

Each day, you’ll enjoy eight cold-pressed juices with an optional breakfast meal and snacks for those that would like additional calories or are just plain hungry on the cleanse. Allow for some time before consuming the next juice or meal, but the exact timing of each step can be customized to your preference. We do however, recommend drinking your last juice a minimum of 2 hours before bed to ensure full digestion. How will I feel during the 3-Day Cleanse?

Gentle to moderate exercise during the program is great, just check in with yourself on the right level.

What are the macros of the 3-Day Cleanse?

Per day, the juice in the cleanse contains 560 calories, 98g sugar, and 122g of carbs. The optional oatmeal contains 300 calories if you decide to add.

Is Suja Organic Gluten Free?

Rest assured, all Suja products are 100% certified gluten free, including our products that contain barley grass and wheatgrass. In addition, our facility is certified by the Gluten Intolerance Group. 

Is Suja Kosher?

All Suja Organic products except Organic Greens Powder are OU certified kosher.

Can my kids drink Suja?

Of course! We’ve designed the taste profiles so that kids love the juices too.

Can I drink Suja after the best by date?

Freshness is important to us. As such, please be sure to drink our products in their entirety before the best by date and within 5 days of opening them.

How long can Suja be unrefrigerated?

Suja juices and shots are perishable and must be kept refrigerated below 40°F. They can be unrefrigerated for up to 4 hours (or longer if stored in a cooler with ice packs). If the product is cool to touch, it’s safe to drink!

How do you ship Suja products?

Our perishable products are packed in insulated boxes with ice packs and shipped Monday-Wednesday via FedEx 2 Day. Please note we do not ship for weekend deliveries. Our Organic Greens Powders are mailed via USPS Ground and typically arrive within 3-7 days. Please review our shipping/delivery timelines below:

Refrigerated juice products

Orders placed on Monday by Midnight PST: Orders placed on Monday will be shipped Tuesday (the next day). Earliest delivery will be Wednesday if you are within a one-day ground shipping radius or Thursday if you are in a two-day shipping radius.

Orders placed on Tuesday by Midnight PST: Order placed on Tuesday will be shipped Wednesday (the next day). Earliest delivery will be Thursday if you are within a one-day ground shipping radius or Friday if you are in a two-day shipping radius.

Orders placed on Wednesday - Sunday by Midnight PST: Orders placed on Wednesday through Sunday will be shipped the following week (if you are in a two-day shipping radius). Earliest delivery will be Tuesday (following week) if you're within a one-day ground shipping radius or Wednesday (following week) if you are in a two-day shipping radius.

 

Organic Greens Powder

Organic Greens Powder orders are typically processed the same day. Organic Greens Powder are shipped via the US Postal Service (USPS) and may take 3-7 days to be delivered once USPS has picked up your package from our warehouse.

 

Tracking: When your package ships (both subscriptions and a la carte), we will send you a confirmation email with your tracking number. Please check your spam/junk folder if you are not seeing an email from us or contact us with any additional questions.

 

PO Boxes: We cannot ship our perishable products to PO Box addresses so please provide a physical address in the checkout. 

 

International shipping: At this time, we only ship domestically within the Continental United States and Hawaii. We are currently unable to ship to US Territories or overseas.

 

Carriers: It is the responsibility of carrier to deliver your order after it has shipped from our facility. If you have questions about a shipment after you receive the shipping confirmation, please contact the carrier and reference your tracking number. It will be at the carrier's discretion where it is safe to leave your package.

What is your order cancellation/change policy?

We strive to provide prompt and efficient service to our customers. Therefore, we can only accept order changes or cancellations for unprocessed orders.  Once an order is in the process of being picked, packed and prepared for shipment, we are unable to cancel it or make any changes. Please thoroughly review your purchase details and shipping address before completing your order. 

For customers with subscription orders, you have the flexibility to skip, modify, or cancel your recurring shipments. To do this, simply log into your online account before your order has been processed. We send an email notification two days prior to your next scheduled shipment to inform you of the upcoming subscription order processing. We only accept order changes or cancellations for orders that have not been processed. Once an order is in the process of being picked, packed and prepared for shipment, we are unable to cancel the it and will not offer a refund in that case. We are only able to modify your future shipments.

How do I skip, change, or cancel my subscription?

You can manage your subscription through the customer portal here.

  1. Enter the email connected to your subscription.
  2. You will receive an email with a unique code to log in.
  3. You can choose to change your subscription product or quantity, update your next charge date or frequency, skip or cancel your upcoming shipment schedule.

We strive to ensure timely and efficient delivery of all orders. However, please note that shipping and delivery dates may be affected due to closures or modified service/hours during certain national holidays.

I didn't receive my Organic Greens Powder with my juice shipment

Thank you for ordering from Suja! We're excited to send you our Organic Greens Powders, which will arrive separately from your juice orders. These powders are shipped via the US Postal Service (USPS).

A quick heads-up: you might not receive tracking numbers for split shipments right away, as there can be a slight delay in tracking updates. We're on it and working hard to improve this process for you!
We know how important it is to get your order promptly, and we're committed to streamlining our tracking system.

I noticed my address is incorrect, how can I correct it on my order?

We only accept order modifications/changes for orders that have not started processing during normal business hours (M-F, 8-4pm PST). We ship to the exact address you enter at checkout. Please double check that your address is correct before submitting your order. If you entered an incorrect address and your order has not yet processed, contact our support team as soon as possible with the correct address and we will try our best to update it. What is your shipping policy?

We strive to provide our customers with the best experience possible and want to ensure your Suja Organic products deliver to you ice cold! To maintain this level of quality, all orders are packed with gel packs and shipped in special eco-friendly insulated boxes Monday-Wednesday. All perishable items ship via FedEx 2 Day. Please note we do not ship for weekend deliveries. Our Organic Greens Powders are mailed via USPS Ground and typically arrive within 3-7 days 

It is the responsibility of FedEx to deliver your order after it has shipped from our facility. If you have questions about a shipment after you receive the shipping confirmation, please contact FedEx and reference your tracking number. 

FedEx is instructed to leave your package at your door whenever possible. Some locations may require your signature. It will be at FedEx's discretion whether it is safe to leave your package. Suja Organic is not responsible for lost or stolen packages, product that has been left out for extended periods of time, weather, or other unrelated delays. Please contact FedEx with any questions about shipments. 

Additionally, Suja Organic cannot be held responsible for damaged or compromised products due to the following reasons:

Incorrect addresses - We ship to the exact address you enter at checkout. Please double check that your address is correct before submitting your order. Please contact FedEx if they are having trouble delivering to your address.

Unopened Shipments - Suja Organic shipping boxes are clearly marked “PERISHABLE” and must be opened with products being refrigerated upon receipt. Suja Organic products are perishable and clearly marked with expiration dates. They must be consumed within these dates.

 

We are not currently able to ship refrigerated items to P.O. Boxes. Please make sure you enter the address of a home or business within the US. Juice orders placed with a PO Box will be canceled and refunded.

At this time, we only ship domestically within the contiguous United States, Alaska and Hawaii. We are currently unable to ship to U.S. Territories or overseas. 

Can I return a product?

To ensure the quality and safety of our products, all sales are final and returns are not accepted.

We only offer refunds for orders that have not yet been processed. Once an order has been processed, we are unable to issue a refund. Therefore, we encourage our customers to thoroughly review their purchase details and shipping addresses before completing their order.

While we do not accept returns, we are committed to providing our customers with the highest quality juices possible. If you have any concerns with a Suja product, please submit a request or email us at info@sujaorganic.com. Our team is dedicated to supporting you and will do everything we can to address your concerns.

What is the cost of shipping?

At Suja, We are committed to delivering your favorite organic juices right to your doorstep, cold and fresh. We offer free shipping via FedEx for residents of the following states: California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, and Oregon.  For residents outside the free shipping states listed above, a shipping fee of $9.99 applies to all orders.

Subscriptions: All subscriptions come with free shipping regardless of your location. Enjoy the convenience of regular deliveries without any additional shipping costs!

How do I update my credit card information?

When will I receive my subscription order?

You will receive your order once a month - every four weeks. Recurring delivery is based on when you signed up for your subscription. For example, if you place your subscription order on February 20th, your second subscription will ship four weeks from that date. 

When will I be billed for my subscription?

Your credit card will be automatically charged on a monthly basis (every 4 weeks) based on when you signed up for your subscription. You will receive an email three days prior to your credit card being charged as a reminder. 

Can I swap/substitute flavors or customize an order?

I forgot to add my coupon code at checkout. Can I still receive the discount after the order is placed?

Unfortunately, coupon codes can't be added retrospectively. In order to receive the discount, coupon codes need to be added when prompted during the checkout process.

How can I track my order?

When your package ships (both subscriptions and a la carte), we will send you a confirmation email with your tracking number. You can track your package to get status information and see an estimated delivery time window for eligible shipments. Or if you’d like more visibility, you can use FedEx Delivery Manager to monitor your incoming and outgoing packages throughout the entire delivery process and receive alerts and notifications. Please visit the customer service desk at your local store and/or request to speak to the manager. You can suggest they reach out to our sales team.
